NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (AP) — A South Carolina man has been arrested and charged in the death of his infant daughter.
News outlets reported that 29-year-old Troy Abraham Wilson of North Charleston was charged Monday night with homicide by child abuse.
Wilson was being held in the Charleston County jail. He waived his right to a bond hearing. It was not known if he has an attorney yet.
Detectives say Wilson called 911 Saturday morning to report his 1-month-old daughter was not breathing. The girl died that afternoon at the Medical University of South Carolina Hospital in Charleston.
The girl's name has not been released.
Police say Wilson was caring for the girl when she suffered a skull fracture.
