OXFORD, Miss. (AP) _ Ole Miss receiver Robert Reed was suspended Saturday from the team for the remainder of spring semester. His future with the Rebels was uncertain.

Reed was suspended for disciplinary and academic reasons, coach Tommy Tuberville said in a release. The coach did not elaborate.

``We'll make a decision at the end of the (school) year on his future at Ole Miss,'' Tuberville said.

Reed played in nine regular-season games last season and caught 22 passes for 347 yards _ a team-best 15.7 yards per catch. He also played on special teams and rushed four times for 71 yards, mostly from formations when he was lined up as the quarterback.
