DELAWARE, Ohio (AP) _ Three women who allegedly raped and kidnapped a convicted child molester and dumped him _ naked and wrapped in a blanket _ about 70 miles from his home, have been indicted by a grand jury.
The words ``I am a child molester'' were written in black marker on several parts of his body, according to court records.
Afterward, one of the women's husband allegedly offered a bribe to the man to drop the charges, but he refused.
Indicted on one count each of rape and two counts each of kidnapping on Tuesday were Mary Franks, 44, of Sunbury; her daughter, Jewell Hosler, 28, of Delaware, and Ms. Hosler's aunt, Vickie Coulter, 39, of Delaware.
Another, unidentified woman present during the June 26 rape was not indicted by the Delaware County grand jury, according to The Delaware Gazette.
Ms. Frank's husband, Rick, 43, was indicted on a charge of bribery for allegedly trying to pay off the man to drop the charges.
The 27-year-old man, who was not identified, had been convicted of gross sexual imposition of a child in Hancock County in 1994, The Columbus Dispatch reported today. He was sentenced to two years in prison and was released in January.
The man, who is related to the women, was molested in his home in Delaware and then left naked and wrapped in a blanket in McComb, a Hancock County village 68 miles away where he grew up.
According to court papers, the women entered the man's residence, wrestled him to the floor, cut off part of his sweat pants and underwear, tied him up, shaved his head and pubic hairs and assaulted him anally with a cucumber. The man also told police the women put heat-producing ointment on his genitals, according to the Dispatch.
