NEW HAVEN, Conn. (AP) — A car has hit two children as their day care class crossed a street in Connecticut.
The Hartford Courant reports first responders arrived at the scene shortly after 11:30 a.m. on Monday to find the children, ages 3 and 5 years old, had been hit.
Police say day care workers had tried to stop traffic so the class could cross. The two preschoolers were taken to Yale-New Haven Hospital with injuries that are not life-threatening.
The driver stopped and has been cooperating with police.
