Wrong-way driver causes crash on Interstate 10 near Salome

QUARTZSITE, Ariz. (AP) — Authorities say they're investigating a crash involving a wrong-way driver on Interstate 10 near Quartzsite in western Arizona.
State Department of Public Safety officials say the driver refused to stop for troopers on the freeway Wednesday afternoon.
They say the suspect then turned around in the median and started driving eastbound in the westbound lanes before colliding with another vehicle.
DPS officials say the suspect and the driver in the other vehicle were injured.
Their names and extent of their injuries weren't immediately available.
Quartzsite is about 150 miles west of Phoenix near the Arizona-California border.
