Mexican elected to 9th term as shooting president

MUNICH (AP) — Olegario Vazquez Rana of Mexico has been re-elected as the international shooting federation president for a ninth four-year term.
Vasquez Rana, a four-time Olympian and a former rifle shooting record holder, has been at the head of the federation since 1980. The federation says he won Wednesday's vote 165-128 over Sheik Salman Al Sabah of Kuwait.
The Mexican thanked the delegates for their "loyalty and trust" and promised to continue working on making the sport "more attractive to people and more solid in the Olympic movement."
The ISSF congress awarded the 2017 shotgun world championship to Moscow.
