American tourist found dead inside Brazil forest

RIO DE JANEIRO (AP) — Brazilian police say the body on an American tourist has been found on a trail inside Rio de Janeiro's Tijuca Forest.
Police say they are investigating the death, which occurred Friday morning. The G1 news portal says the tourist apparently died after falling into a ravine.
A statement by police says three people have been questioned, including two of the tourist's friends who were with him inside the park and alerted forest guards to his death.
The tourist's name and hometown were not released. The U.S. consulate in Rio said it could not comment on the case because of the Privacy Act.
