DECATUR, Ala. (AP) — An Alabama doctor accused of sexually assaulting patients while his nurses watched has asked a judge to close the case from the public.

The Decatur Daily reports Michael Dick's request to seal the case will be heard in court next week. Dick is accused of sexually assaulting around 10 patients while nurses at his practice were present. The nurses are accused of witnessing the assaults and not reporting them to law enforcement. Dick denies the allegations.

The July motion filed by Dick's lawyer Joel Williams says the allegations pose "particularized harm" to the nurses. A judge ordered the patients' lawyer, Eric Artrip, this month to not name the nurses in court documents until a hearing was held. The judge noted then that neither party had requested the case be confidential.
