OTTAWA (AP) _ The Ottawa Senators today traded defenseman Stanislav Neckar to the New York Rangers in exchange for left wing Bill Berg and a second-round pick in the 1999.

Neckar has two assists this season in just three games. He has six goals and 16 assists for a total of 22 points in five NHL seasons.

Berg has been playing for Hartford of the AHL, but will join the Senators in Toronto for Saturday's game.

Berg, a former Toronto Maple Leaf, has 53 goals and 65 assists in his 10-year NHL career.
