Eagles' Westbrook Sprains Ankle
Dec. 06, 2005
PHILADELPHIA (AP) _ Pro Bowl running back Brian Westbrook was knocked out of Philadelphia's game against Seattle on Monday night with a sprained foot.
The team didn't immediately say which foot Westbrook hurt.
Westbrook did not return for the second half, finishing with 17 yards on nine carries, and five catches for 38 yards in the first half. He came into the game with a team-leading 600 yards rushing and three touchdowns, and had 56 catches for 578 yards and four touchdowns.
The reigning NFC champion Eagles were already without four players who went to the Pro Bowl last season: quarterback Donovan McNabb, wide receiver Terrell Owens, cornerback Lito Sheppard and left tackle Tra Thomas.
