Italian wins Tour of Austria

SPIELBERG, Austria (AP) _ Italy's Daniele Nardello won the Tour of Austria Saturday after riders completed its ninth and final leg, a 173-kilometer route between Villach and the A-Ring motor racing track at Spielberg.
Nardello finished only 50th in the field on Saturday's leg, but won overall with a total time of 37 hours, 36 minutes and 42 seconds.
Second overall was Belgium's Frank Vandenbroucke, who had won three of the tour's nine legs. He was 2 minutes, 44 seconds behind Nardello's total.
Third place went to Switzerland's Oscar Camenzind, who was 3:27 behind Nardello.
Saturday's ninth leg was won by Switzerland's Roland Schaetti, who clocked 4:04.27, ahead of Slovenia's Andrej Hauptmann and Germany's Roman Stoffel.
