World's Fare food event to be held near site of 1965 fair
Feb. 09, 2018
NEW YORK (AP) — A New York City park will once again play host to a "world's fair," though the centerpiece of this fair will be food.
The World's Fare is scheduled to take place April 28 and 29 in the parking lot of Citi Field in Queens as an intentional reimagining of the 1965 New York World's Fair. WNBC-TV reports the organizers say they've always admired the idea of the World's Fair and wanted an event centered on food.
The event will feature over 100 curated international food vendors from across the tristate area, a beer garden featuring craft beer from over 50 nations, live music and street art.
Tickets range from $19 to $199, and $1 of every ticket sold will go to The Melting Pot Foundation USA.
