LOS ANGELES (AP) — Police say one person was injured in an explosion that was possibly the result of natural gas at a restaurant in Hollywood.
The Los Angeles Fire Department says one woman was evaluated for injuries after the blast Wednesday night at the Tinhorn Flats Saloon and Grill, but she left on her own.
The explosion happened at about 7:30 p.m. in the first-floor restaurant, blowing out windows and sending glass and debris on to surrounding sidewalks.
The rest of the six-story building is apartments, and police and firefighters were investigating the rest of the building to make sure it's safe.
A preliminary investigation suggested that natural gas caused the blast, but it remains under investigation.
