ST. LOUIS (AP) _ The St. Louis Cardinals shuffled their roster Tuesday by reinstating outfielder Tito Landrum from the National League's disabled list and outrighting left-hander Andy Hassler to their Louisville farm club.
Landrum, 30, was placed on the 21-day disabled list effective April 17 with pulled abdominal muscles. Hassler, 33, pitched in 10 games, compiling a 0-1 record and a 1.80 earned-run average in relief.
A St. Louis spokesman said Hassler, a veteran of 387 major-league games, agreed to return to the minors rather than declare his free agency.
Tuesday's moves left the Cards with 10 pitchers. Landrum, who has played in only three games, is hitless this year in three times at bat.
