NEW YORK (AP) _ Florida Panthers forward Dino Ciccarelli was suspended without pay for two games Tuesday for a slashing incident with Buffalo Sabres defenseman Jason Woolley.
Ciccarelli was assessed a major penalty for slashing and a game misconduct at 17:14 of the third period in the Jan. 18 game. Ciccarelli slashed Woolley across the wrist as the Buffalo player was carrying the puck from behind his net.
The defenseman will miss Florida's games at the New York Islanders on Wednesday and at the New York Rangers on Thursday.
