BOWLING GREEN, Ohio (AP) _ Shane Komives had 25 points, including six 3-pointers, to lead Bowling Green past Kent 79-76 Saturday in a Mid-American Conference game.
The Falcons' success from the arc, 9-of-17 for 53 percent, was the key to holding off a second-half push by the Flashes.
A 3-pointer by Ray Lynch at 7:40 stretched the lead to 12, 60-48, for Bowling Green (12-6, 6-4 MAC).
But led by Nate Reinking, Kent (5-13, 2-8) came back from a 36-27 halftime deficit to close within two with 3:53 left in the game. Reinking, who had 16 points, hit three free-throws a jumper to make it 66-64.
Komives responded with a 3-pointer and a free throw to pull the Falcons up 70-64. Antonio Daniels made 5-of-6 from the free throw line in the final minute to put the game away.
Shane Kline-Ruminski had 20 points for the Falcons, Daniels added 15 and Floyd Miller hit 10. Jay Larranaga had six assists before fouling out.
Bill Davis also hit 16 for the Flashes, James Johnson had 14 and Brook Bright added 10.
