Man Baffled by Unabomber's Use of His Address
Jun. 30, 1995
SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) _ A business executive said he is devastated that the Unabomber used his name and former address as a return address on a package containing a manuscript of his manifesto.
``This is bizarre,'' Boon Long Hoe, 52, told the San Jose Mercury News in a telephone interview from Bangkok, where he works for GSS Array Technology Co. Ltd. Hoe is the chief financial officer for the company, a circuit board manufacturer with a subsidiary in San Jose.
``I never got any publicity,'' Hoe said. ``I am very low profile and so is the company.''
Hoe said in the interview published today that he had not been contacted by law enforcement agents.
``I feel devastated,'' said Hoe, who has lived off and on in the San Francisco Bay area since the 1970s.
The Washington Post said the package was found in an editor's mailbox after the FBI alerted the newspaper that the parcel had been sent.
