Four Killed, 10 Hurt in NYC Fire

NEW YORK (AP) _ A fire tore through an apartment building early Wednesday, killing four people and injuring at least ten others, fire officials said.
The four victims included two teenage boys, an adult male and an adult female, according to television reports. Fire officials would not confirm the identities of the victims.
The blaze began around 2:50 a.m. at a three-story building in the East Flatbush section of the city's Brooklyn borough, officials said. The fire consumed all three floors of the apartment building and was placed under control several hours later.
Ten people, including six firefighters, were reportedly being treated at Kings County Hospital Center for their injuries.
A hospital spokeswoman did not immediately return a call for comment.
The cause of the fire was under investigation.
