SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) _ Ron Tugnutt made 23 saves and Jere Lehtinen scored two goals as the Dallas Stars defeated the Florida Panthers 4-0 on Friday night.

Manny Malhotra and Scott Young also scored for Dallas.

It was Tugnutt's first shutout for Dallas and the 22nd of his career. His last shutout was March 2 at Los Angeles when he played for Columbus.

Dallas broke a five-game winless streak, its longest since Nov. 1999, and got its first win since Dec. 15. The Stars finished their current seven-game road trip at 2-3-2.

Florida goalie Roberto Luongo gave up four goals on 29 shots in his 10th consecutive start.

Dallas scored at 3:19 of the first period. Bill Guerin passed the puck from the blue line to Malhotra at the top of the right circle. His wrist shot went over Luongo's blocker to make the score 1-0.

The Stars made the score 2-0 on a power-play goal at 1:22 of the second period. Lehtinen shot from the high slot and the puck went past Luongo on the stick side. It was Dallas's 28th power play goal this season.

Scott Young scored at 5:36 of the third period gave the Stars a 3-0 lead. His shot from the right circle stayed low and slid past Luongo's right side.

Lehtinen's second goal at 16:51 of the third period gave Dallas a 4-0 lead. He took a pass from Niko Kapanen and backhanded the puck into the net.
