SAN DIEGO (AP) _ Shannon MacMillan scored six goals, including five in the second half, as Team USA held on for a 14-12 victory Wednesday night over the World All-Stars in an exhibition indoor soccer match.

MacMillan teamed with Cindy Parlow to alternate in scoring five unanswered goals in a span of 6:49 over the third and fourth periods as Team USA took an 11-6 lead.

MacMillan's goal put Team USA ahead 13-8 at the 8:25 mark of the fourth period. But the World All-Stars scored four straight goals in the final 7:11.

A sliding goal by Brazil's Pretinha cut the lead to 13-12 with 1:26 remaining in the match. But even with an extra attacker, the World All-Stars failed to get off a quality shot.

MacMillan added an empty-net goal at the buzzer.

Team USA raised its record to 6-2 on the 12-city tour.

Cindy Parlow added three goals for Team USA, which led 6-5 at halftime after falling behind 3-0 midway through the first period.

Pretinha and countrywoman Roseli led the World All-Stars with four goals each.
