SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. (AP) — Corfu and Designed Legs took co-featured $200,000 stakes for 2-year-olds Sunday at Saratoga Race Course.

Corfu gave trainer Todd Pletcher his fourth winner of the day. He was ridden by John Velazquez, the jockey's fifth winner of the afternoon.

Corfu set a blistering pace from the outset and held off Wired Bryan to win the Saratoga Special by a nose. Designer Legs was placed first upon the disqualification of Who's in Town in the Adirondack Stakes for fillies.

Corfu ran 6½ furlongs in 1:15.57 and earned $120,000 for owners Michael Tabor, John Smith and Michael Magnier He paid $15, $5.60 and $3.40. Wired Bryan returned $4.10 and $3.20, and Danza paid $5.60 to show.

Who's in Town benefited from severe traffic that plagued heavily favored Fiftyshadesofgold and outfinished Designer Legs to reach the wire a head in front, running 6½ furlongs in 1:16.42.

Then, the stewards took over. Designer Legs was placed first after it was determined that Who's in Town instigated a chain reaction bumping incident at midstretch. Thank You Marylou was placed second, Fiftyshadesofgold was elevated to third and Who's in Town was placed fourth.

The Dallas Stewart-trained Designer Legs, who was ridden by Shaun Bridgmohan, earned $120,000 for Valerie Farms and paid $35, $11.20 and $4.30. Thank You Marylou returned $7.70 and $3.40. Fiftyshadesofgold returned $2.20 to show. Charmed Hour sustained a fracture to her right foreleg and was euthanized.
