NEWARK, N.J. (AP) _ A Continental Airlines jet at Newark International Airport unexpectedly lurched forward Wednesday morning, crashing into the terminal and slightly injuring six maintenance workers.

The accident happened around 5 a.m. in Terminal C, according to police at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, which operates the airport. Images from television helicopters showed the nose of the plane jutting into the terminal wall.

No passengers were aboard the plane at the time of the accident, police said.
