May. 01, 1998
DEPOE BAY, Ore. (AP) _ Three teen-agers were arrested after they allegedly fired shots at a school bus carrying six students. No one was injured.
Shots were fired from a nearby wooded area as the bus dropped students off after school Thursday, police said. Windows in the bus were broken in the gunfire.
Three people were seen running from the scene. Two 16-year-olds and a 14-year-old, all of Depoe Bay on the Oregon coast, were arrested an hour later and taken to the Lincoln County Juvenile Detention Facility.
Authorities did not say what the motive was for the shooting. One of the teens was a regular rider on the bus, police said.
