PITTSFIELD, Mass. (AP) — A Pittsfield man charged with making a bomb threat and starting a fire at the exclusive Lenox resort where he worked as a security guard has been sentenced to five years' probation.

Miles Arnspiger was also sentenced Thursday to 100 hours of community service. His case was continued without a finding, and charges will be dismissed if he stays out of trouble during the probationary period.

The Berkshire Eagle (http://bit.ly/17tQ2qM) reports Arnspiger pleaded to sufficient facts on the charges.

Authorities say the 24-year-old Arnspiger passed a note to police in May 2012 that contained a bomb threat targeting Canyon Ranch resort. Police say Arnspiger wrote the note.

About three months later, he allegedly set a small fire in a shed on resort property.

No one was injured in either incident.
