Ohio teen shot during argument over electric scooter

COLUMBUS, Ohio — A 15-year-old male was shot multiple times Monday after he got into argument over the rental of an electric scooter, according to police.

WCMH Channel 4 reports the victim was shot twice in the stomach, once in the hip and once in the thigh. He was in stable condition at Nationwide Children’s Hospital, Fox 28 reports.

An 18-year-male was shot at but was not hit, according to 10tv.com.

Police were called to the scene at about 4:30 p.m. Monday. The two teens were attempting to rent an electric scooter when another male approached and said it already was rented.

WCMH reports the two teens walked away, but the male with whom they argued drove up in a silver sedan and opened fire.

The shooting remains under investigation.
