Studer named distinguished grad student
Logan Studer, of Kankakee, was recently named a 2019 Distinguished Graduate Student in the political science program at Eastern Illinois University. To recognize achievement and excellence in graduate scholarship, each graduate program selects a student from its program to honor as a Distinguished Graduate Student.
He was also selected to receive a 2018-2019 Williams Travel Grant for his research, “How to Respond to the Fourth Industrial Revolution and Focusing on Brain Drain and the Politics of Immigration in the U.S.” The grant was named for Larry Williams, dean of the Graduate School from 1976 to 1997 and recognizes excellence in graduate research and supports travel to present at regional and national conferences. Studer presented his research in Glen Ellyn and his faculty mentor was Hyungjo Hur.
