Scottsbluff Police conducting Click It or Ticket enforcement
SCOTTSBLUFF - The Scottsbluff Police Department has received a grant from Nebraska Office of Highway Safety to conduct seat belt and other traffic enforcement over the Thanksgiving holiday.
The enforcement activity started on Wednesday, Nov. 21, and continues through Sunday, Nov. 25. Officers will work about 100 hours of overtime during this time period, looking for traffic safety violations including seat belt and child safety seat violations.
A seat belt usage survey was conducted on Sunday, Nov. 18, which showed that 71 percent of vehicle occupants in Scottsbluff were using seat belts or child safety seats.
