Nautical Yarn celebrates distinction
Nautical Yarn was recently chosen to be a brand ambassador store for an international yarn supplies company.
The yarn store at 108 S. Rath Ave. in Ludington, has become a “destination” for knitters in West Michigan and beyond, said Carole Kosanovich, who has owned Nautical Yarn with her husband, Bob, for 16 years. The store offers hundreds of yarns of different weights and colors, as well as classes and events, which draw people from places like Muskegon and Grand Rapids.
Rowan, a high-end yarn supplier based in the United Kingdom, has taken notice of Nautical Yarn and has selected the Ludington shop to be one of its “flagship” stores.
“We’re thrilled to have Nautical Yarn as our flagship,” said Linda McCleland, a Rowan representative. “They’re fabulous. They’ve been a strong supporter for years. It’s a good fit. They’re our only flagship store in Michigan.”
