Hulk Hogan Wrestling at Pay-Per-View Event
NEW YORK (AP) _ Hulk Hogan is getting back into the ring. The 51-year-old wrestler-actor will partner with Shawn Michaels in a tag-team match against Mohammed Hassan and Daivari at the live World Wrestling Entertainment pay-per-view event ``Backlash″ in Manchester, N.H., Sunday.
``I never say never,″ Hogan said during a conference call Wednesday. ``Anything’s possible in wrestling.″
Hogan, born Terry Bollea, achieved pro-wrestling acclaim in the 1980s. His yellow trunks, red boots, shredded T-shirt and nice guy attitude resonated with fans. During his career, he’s suffered numerous injuries and undergone several operations, including knee and hip replacements. Earlier this month, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
``Hopefully, I can be the Babe Ruth of wrestling,″ said Hogan.
Hogan just wrapped up production on his VH1 reality series, set to premiere this summer.
``It’s called `Hogan Knows Best,‴ he said. ``We’re kind of totally opposite of the Osbournes because my wife, Linda, and I run a tight ship.″
