Redskins are fifth-most valuable NFL team in latest Forbes rankings
The Washington Redskins come in fifth in Forbes magazine’s 2018 NFL franchise valuations at $3.1 billion.
Only the Dallas Cowboys, New England Patriots, New York Giants and Los Angeles Rams are worth more, according to Forbes’ methodology.
The Rams experienced a 7 percent increase in value over the year before, which partly had to do with the team’s 2016 move to Los Angeles. It helped them launch into fourth place, where Washington used to sit.
Forbes pegs the Redskins’ revenue at $491 million and operating income at $122 million.
Dallas continues its reign as the most valuable franchise ($5 billion), far ahead of second-place New England ($3.8 billion). As in many other ways in life, the Buffalo Bills are in last place ($1.6 billion).
