Man wounded along Ellis Street in North Side

Pittsburgh police are investigating a shooting that sent one man to the hospital Monday evening.

Just before 7 p.m., a man was shot on the 2600 block of Ellis Street on the North Side.

The 23-year-old man was taken to Allegheny General Hospital in a private SUV.

The man, who was allegedly wounded more than once, wasn’t identified. Police didn’t give the name of a suspsect.

About 9 p.m., the wounded man was listed in stable condition in AGH.

Police Sgt. William Vollman said the incident is being investigated by the Group Violence unit.
