Aaron Kelly Hanks

November 13, 2018

1972 — 2018

A bigger heart you will never know. Aaron’s capacity to love was enormous. He was gentle and kind. He never passed judgment. All who knew him felt completely embraced by him.

He will be remembered for his giant hugs, his laugh, his love of little kids, the depth of understanding and compassion in his eyes, and his strong hands—hands that were always serving. He could and did fix anything and everything, and usually did it for free. He had a childlike innocence and sometimes even silliness about him and could always make people laugh.

He had a deep respect and reverence for nature—trees, the mountains, the sky—and spent much of his time there. But most of all he loved his children, Dylan, Daniel, Leah, and Jeremy.

Aaron was born in Payson, Utah on March 26, 1972. He was raised in Mapleton, Utah. He died in St. George, Utah on November 9, 2018. He is survived by his children, Dylan Reed, Daniel Aaron, Leah Melissa, and Jeremy David Hanks; his parents, Kurt G Hanks, Corinne R. Memmott and Robert F Memmott; and his siblings, David L. Hanks, Amy I. Scharman, JoAnna Fuller, Jonathan M. Hanks, Melanie R. Barrett, Samuel R. Hanks, Joshua K. Hanks, Cassie J. Wynn, Benjamin J. Hanks, Elizabeth Barrett, Jenny R. Lake, Molly C. Miner, and Emilee Hanks.

We will miss you, Aaron, our beloved son, brother, and dad!

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am, Friday, November 16, at the chapel on 2378 River Bottom Road, Springville, Utah.
