Flags of Honor display returns to Ironton

May 26, 2019

IRONTON — Ahead of Memorial Day, the Ohio Flags of Honor opened to the public Friday evening at the Ironton Hills Plaza.

The traveling display of flags represents the fallen service men and women from Ohio and is sponsored by the Law Enforcement Motorcycle Club Kentucky VIII.

Since 2005, the traveling display has been a way to help facilitate fellowship for families, friends and communities who want to pay tribute to Ohio’s fallen soldiers, according to the nonprofit Ohio Flags of Honor Memorial group. Through the display, they hope to also raise public awareness and support for Ohio’s returning veterans.

The flags will be on display through Memorial Day.
