SPRING FLOODING-NEBRASKA GUARD CAMP _ On St. Patrick’s Day weekend, a violent chute of water raged through a gash in the levee that for decades protected the Nebraska National Guard’s main training site from the Platte River. Floodwaters surged into classrooms, barracks and offices, wrecking furniture and tools and leaving a muddy watermark 5 feet high on inside walls. UPCOMING: 325 words. LINCOLN WOMAN KILLED _ An October trial has been scheduled for a woman accused of helping to kill and dismember a Lincoln resident.

CHAPPELL STABBING _ A woman accused of stabbing to death a man in the Nebraska Panhandle has pleaded not guilty.

VETERANS SERVICE-EMBEZZLEMENT _ A former Morrill County veterans service officer has been given probation and jail time for stealing from his agency’s account.

JAILER ASSAULTED _ Authorities say an inmate assaulted a corrections officer at the Keith County Jail in Ogallala.
