No. 19 Florida 95, Mississippi State 45
GAINESVILLE, Fla. (AP) _ Murriel Page scored 20 points and No. 19 Florida recorded its most-lopsided victory in Southeastern Conference history, routing Mississippi State 95-45 Saturday.
The victory for the Gators (18-7, 6-5) gave them the No. 6 seed in the conference’s postseason tournament.
Mississippi State (13-13, 4-7) got 22 points from LaCharlotte Smith.
Florid scored the first 10 points of the game, and held the Bulldogs to just seven field goals in the first half. The second half was more of the same, as the Gators scored the first 12 points of the half before Jemmye Helmes hit a 3-pointer with 14:40 to play.
Chanda Stebbins also helped Florida set a school record with 11 3-point shots.
Stebbins scored 15 points, despite playing only 13 minutes in the second half. DeLisha Milton scored 12 and Crystal Parker and Talatha Bingham each added 10.
