The Hazleton Rotary Club’s seventh annual Hazleton Wine and Beer Festival will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 25, at the Hazle Twp. Babe Ruth Field, 601 Hazle Twp. Blvd. Proceeds benefit various Hazleton Rotary Club community service projects. A car and truck show is new this year. No registration for the car and truck show is required, but vehicles must be at the site between 8 and 10:30 a.m. No one will be permitted after 10:30 a.m. or after all car show spaces are filled. Face painting for children by Kari Dice will be offered from 1 to 5 p.m. There will be a Wheel of Chance game for adults and a Strong Man/Bell Ringing Game. There will be a variety of wines and beers available for sipping and tasting. Bottles of wine can be purchased and put aside until the patrons are ready to leave the event. There will be no charge for the beer or wine tasting. It is part of the entry fee. There will be tricky trays and a 50/50 raffle. Tickets are $20 in advance, $25 at the gate the day of the event, and designated drivers (non drinking) are $5. Ages 13-20 are $5 and children under 12 are free. All children under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. The prices cover the festival and car and truck show.
