Pro Football Hall of Fame, Gervasi Vineyard collaborative wine released

CLEVELAND, Ohio – The Pro Football Hall of Fame and Gervasi Vineyard have teamed for the third year to release wine.

This year’s wine is called Commitment and is a 2018 limited-edition Zinfandel. It was released this week and is billed as having notes of blackberry, raspberry and black cherry with some detectable oak.

The name comes from part of the hall’s mission and values - commitment, integrity, courage, respect and excellence.

The first two wines in the series are “Excellence,” a Cabernet Sauvignon, and “Integrity” a Chardonnay.

All three are available at Gervasi Vineyard, at The Marketplace and The Crush House as well as at The Twisted Olive in Green. Cost is $39 per bottle.

Gervasi is at 1700 55th St. NE, Canton.

It’s a good time for the two Canton institutions to release a wine. The 2018 class will be enshrined Saturday, Aug. 4, at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium, drawing thousands to the city. This year’s class:
