TOWSON, Md. (AP) _ Sophomore Jason Corle scored four touchdowns in the first half to lead Towson University over Robert Morris College 33-30 in a see-saw game Saturday.

Corle ran for two and caught a pair of touchdown passes for a total of 343 yards in the Tigers’ Homecoming victory in Minnegan Stadium for Towson (2-4). He was one touchdown shy of Tony Vinson’s school record of five touchdowns set in 1993.

Robert Morris (4-2) took a 7-0 lead as Colonial quarterback Jake Newman found junior wide receiver Fred Parker. But the Tigers evened the score when Corle caught a 55-yard pass from Kevin Smith.

Corle caught his second touchdown pass from Smith midway through the second quarter. Lamont Dumas picked off a Newman pass in Colonial territory to set up a Corle rushing touchdown.

Colonial wide receiver Antoine Lee returned the following kickoff for a 93-yard touchdown. On the next Tigers possession, John Rochford intercepted Smith to set up a Ralph Clark rushing touchdown.

The Colonials settled for a 36-yard Chris Longo field goal in the third quarter, after a fumble recovery by John Rochford.

Colonials linebacker Nate List picked off Smith again in the fourth quarter and returned it 28 yards for a touchdown.

On Towson’s next possession, Tigers fullback Bill Hughes scored the game-winning touchdown on a 4-yard run.

Chris Beaumier intercepted Newman at the Towson 12-yard line, so the Tigers took a safety with 12 seconds left.
