FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) — The Latest on a crash that caused a building fire in Fall River (all times local):

9:55 p.m.

A fire that began after a woman crashed her car into a Fall River apartment building has started up again.

WHDH-TV was airing footage Tuesday night of flames coming from the roof of the Four Winds Apartments on North Main Street. Firefighters were dousing them with water from a cherry picker attached to their truck.

Earlier, authorities said the fire had been put out.

The fire began after 72-year-old Judith Mauretti, of Fall River, crashed her car into the building. She died. A 75-year-old passenger was taken to a hospital in critical condition. The building was evacuated after the crash, and there had been no reports of injuries among its residents.

Authorities have identified the woman who died after crashing her car into a Fall River apartment building, starting a fire.

The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office says 72-year-old Judith Mauretti, of Fall River, died in the crash Tuesday morning. Foul play is not suspected.

A 75-year-old Fall River woman who was a passenger in the vehicle remains in critical condition in a hospital.

The crash happened at the Four Winds Apartments on North Main Street. The building was set ablaze by the crash.

The district attorney’s office says fire crews put out the flames and all occupants have been accounted for. No other civilian injuries have been reported.

Four firefighters were hospitalized for exhaustion.

The Bristol County District Attorney’s Office says emergency crews arrived to find the 72-year-old woman from Fall River dead inside the vehicle. Her name wasn’t immediately released publicly.

A passenger in the vehicle was taken to Rhode Island Hospital in critical condition. The district attorney’s office says it appears that no occupants of the apartment building were injured.

The Boston Globe reports four Fall River firefighters were hospitalized from exhaustion, and 45 people were evacuated from the 36-unit building. Fall River Fire Chief John Lynch says the vehicle drove about 15 feet into the building’s first floor.

Several apartment units were damaged by the crash and fire.

The Herald News reports that the car crashed into the Four Winds Apartments on Main Street in Fall River on Tuesday morning.

Paramedics and police took one person from the scene and a medical helicopter was called.

The newspaper reports that flames spread up the three-story building. Firefighters sounded an evacuation horn and vented the roof.

The American Red Cross is helping residents who are displaced.

Several apartment units are damaged.
