Pittsfield mother dies in Richmond crash
RICHMOND, Mass. (AP) — State police say a Pittsfield woman has died in a single-vehicle crash in Richmond.
Police say 36-year-old Amy Cavanaugh lost control of her Jeep Cherokee on Canaan Road just after midnight Sunday.
Cavanaugh had been an employee of New England Newspapers Inc., and had worked for The Berkshire Eagle and the Brattleboro (Vt.) Reformer.
Warren Dews, a vice president at The Eagle (http://bit.ly/1bazkln ) said Cavanaugh, who had worked in newspaper distribution at The Eagle and then as circulation director at the Brattleboro (Vt.) Reformer, was “smart” and “intelligent and very good at what she did.”
Cavanaugh leaves four children.
The crash remains under investigation.
