Jury finds daughter guilty in mother’s fatal stabbing
BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) — A jury has found a New York woman guilty of stabbing her mother to death.
Erie County District Attorney John Flynn said Wednesday the jury found 40-year-old Lashawn Lewis guilty of second-degree murder in connection with the death of 50-year-old Lateyfa Lewis.
Prosecutors say Lashawn Lewis stabbed her mother more than 40 times in August 2005 inside the mother’s home in Buffalo.
Flynn previously said the stabbing followed an argument.
Lashawn Lewis faces 25 years to life in prison during her sentencing scheduled for November.
