Police notebook for May 8, 2019

Between 8:33 a.m. on April 30 and 7:51 a.m. on May 7, police responded to 257 calls, including the following:
East Conant Street: Police at 6:17 p.m. on May 1 arrested a 34-year-old Portage man on suspicion of domestic disorderly conduct, battery and bail jumping.
East Edgewater Street: Police at 1:49 p.m. on May 2 responded to a report of a disorderly male subject at the Columbia County Clerk’s office and arrested Matthew P. Schindler, 35, of Portage on suspicion of disorderly conduct, bail jumping and obstructing an officer.
New Pinery Road: Police at 4:10 p.m. on May 2 cited Shannon L. Wagner for suspected shoplifting.
East Conant Street: Police at 6:08 p.m. on May 2 arrested a 35-year-old Portage man on suspicion of domestic disorderly conduct.
Schultz Street: Police at 6:07 p.m. on May 3 arrested a 38-year-old Portage man on suspicion of intimidation of a victim, domestic disorderly conduct, domestic battery and endangering safety by use of a dangerous weapon. The man was also cited for possession of drug paraphernalia. Police also cited a 59-year-old Portage woman for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance
New Pinery Road: Police at 9:24 p.m. on May 3 cited Heather Lynn Morgan, 48, of Portage, for suspected retail theft.
Village Road: Police at 5:53 p.m. on May 4 issued cited ordinance tickets to Randy Antonio Colon-Sanchez, 24, of Portage for possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of THC.
East Carroll Street: Police at 2:36 a.m. on May 5 issued an arrest warrant for a 23-year-old Portage man suspected of domestic disorderly conduct, criminal damage to property and trespassing.
West Marion Street: Police at 2:39 a.m. on May 5 issued an arrest warrant for a 28-year-old Portage man suspected of criminal damage to property, domestic disorderly conduct and eluding an officer.
West Collins Street: Police at 1:13 p.m. on May 5 assisted Columbia County Sheriff’s Office deputies on a call. Authorities arrested Nena R. Marshall, 34, of Portage on suspicion of operating a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent.
Silver Lake Drive and Collipp Avenue: Police at 4:49 p.m. on May 5 responded to a report of five teens taking items from a residence. Health and Human Services contacted five people about possible charges of trespassing and burglary.
New Pinery Road: Police at 10:39 p.m. on May 5 arrested Travis P. Conger, 37, of St. Albans City, Vermont on suspicion of obstructing an officer, possession of THC and possession of drug paraphernalia.
New Pinery Road: Police at 4:11 p.m. on May 6 cited Portage residents Deandre Duvall Robinson, 28, and Annie L. Martin, 26, for suspected shoplifting.
New Pinery Road: Police at 4:59 p.m. on May 6 responded to a report of two people using drugs and engaging in sexual activity in a vehicle in the Walmart parking lot. A K-9 team alerted to a vehicle. Police arrested Jack D. Dvorak, 29, of Portage and Timberlyn M. Bell, 24, of Montello on suspicion of lewd and lascivious behavior, bail jumping and possession of drug paraphernalia.
West Cook Street: Police at 6:56 p.m. on May 6 arrested a 48-year-old Portage man on suspicion of domestic disorderly conduct. A 72-hour no contact order was enforced.
Silver Lake Drive and West Wisconsin Street: Police at 3:10 a.m. on May 7 arrested Evaristo Arrieta, 45, of Portage on suspicion of a first offense of operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Arrieta was released from a hospital to a responsible party.
