Scottville woman to pay more than $5K for drug possession
A Scottville woman will serve jail time and probation for a charge of possession of analogues and being a habitual offender, fourth offense.
Tonya Marie Sheffield, 34, of 208 W.Third St., Scottville, was sentenced to two years probation and one year in jail by Judge Susan K.Sniegowski Tuesday in 51st Circuit Court.
She was ordered to serve 75 days of the jail time now and was given credit for time served.
She was ordered to pay $5,072.76 in restitution and an additional $458 in fines, costs and other court fees.
Sheffield could have served up to 15 years in prison because of her habitual offender status. As part of the plea agreement, charges of larceny in a building and larceny greater than $1,000 but less than $20,000 were dismissed.
The larceny charges stem from the theft of wedding bands valued at more than $5,000.
