Surgery Partners: 2Q Earnings Snapshot
BRENTWOOD, Tenn. (AP) _ Surgery Partners Inc. (SGRY) on Thursday reported a loss of $19.5 million in its second quarter.
The Brentwood, Tennessee-based company said it had a loss of 57 cents per share. Losses, adjusted for costs related to mergers and acquisitions and non-recurring costs, came to 18 cents per share.
The results did not meet Wall Street expectations. The average estimate of four analysts surveyed by Zacks Investment Research was for a loss of 15 cents per share.
The surgical facilities operator posted revenue of $444.8 million in the period, beating Street forecasts. Four analysts surveyed by Zacks expected $432 million.
Surgery Partners shares have climbed 41 percent since the beginning of the year. The stock has decreased 11 percent in the last 12 months.
