Bella Luce gives boost to Hospice
HUNTINGTON — Local residents filled their bellies with food, some local homes with their presence and Hospice of Huntington with support during Bella Luce Sunday night.
Bella Luce is an Italian expression meaning “The Beautiful Light,” and the fundraiser began with a cocktail reception at the Marshall University Foundation.
After the reception, guests dispersed to more than half a dozen homes for themed dinners, which included Italian, Greek and more.
“I know that it’s a wonderful organization, and it’s something that we will all probably need at some point in our lives,” said Emily Saulle, who hosted a dinner at Navarino in the Marketplace. “I think that it’s a very worthwhile organization.”
The event, which was originally hosted from 2004-2008 and then revived in 2015, was the brainchild of John and Betty Sue Kinzer.
