Bellows Falls Historical Society moves to new location
BELLOWS FALLS, Vt. (AP) — The Bellows Falls Historical Society has moved to a new location that organizers say gives the Vermont group an increased presence in the downtown area.
Society president Cathy Bergmann tells the Brattleboro Reformer the society “wanted to have more of an appearance in the village.” The new location is in the Arms Block on Westminster Street.
The Bellows Falls Historical Society had previously sat at the Adams Grist Mill. Bergmann said many people didn’t know the historical society even existed.
The society is currently cataloging letters, papers, clothing and other donations while it prepares to open. Some pieces had been moved to the Rockingham Free Public Library for preservation.
The society is accepting cash donations and looking for volunteers to help with archiving.
