Clinton County reports 911 outage for cellphones

December 28, 2018

CLINTON, Iowa (AP) — Clinton County officials are reporting a 911 outage affecting cellphone callers.

Clinton County Communications said Friday morning that cellphone calls to 911 around the state are being routed to the Iowa State Patrol office in Des Moines. The problem apparently isn’t affecting landline calls to 911.

State Patrol Sgt. Nathan Ludwig confirms the Clinton County 911 cellphone calls are being routed to the patrol but says he’s unaware of any problem with any other county’s 911 service.
