CORAOPOLIS, Pa. (AP) _ Nick Brown hit two free throws with 40 seconds left to play, only to watch as Jamir Washington missed a tip-in at the buzzer as Florida Atlantic beat Robert Morris 59-58 Saturday night.

Brown led the Colonials with a career-high 16 points. Florida Atlantic was led by Craig Buchanan, who had 14 points. Washington had seven points for the Colonials (1-4).

Florida Atlantic (2-5) led at the half, 37-21. Robert Morris overcame a 20-point deficit in the second half but was never able to pull ahead.

Cedric Peoples scored 12 points for Florida Atlantic before fouling out with 1:54 left. Javier Smith had seven points and five assists for the Colonials.
