1 hospitalized after 2-car crash in Ansonia
ANSONIA — One person was sent to the hospital after a crash in the city Saturday afternoon.
The fire department dispatched three units — two fire engines and one truck — to Elm and Thomas streets for a collision with injuries. Fire police did not say exactly what time units were dispatched.
Ansonia Rescue and Medical Services said the crash involved two vehicles.
“Upon arrival a rear-end crash was located with one person injured in the vehicle,” ARMS said on Facebook. The injured person was taken to Yale New Haven Hospital for treatment. It was unclear how serious their injuries were.
While crews worked to clear the site of the crash, police and fire police units worked to keep traffic flowing smoothly through the area, officials said.
By 1:30 p.m., all units had cleared from the intersection.
