January blood drives in Douglas County

January 3, 2019

The American Red Cross wants to remind blood donors and those who are thinking of becoming a blood donor, that there are multiple opportunities to donate this month in Douglas County.

Red Cross officials say the winter months are especially tough for all types of blood donations because of the bad weather, when many people don’t get to the scheduled blood drives.

The winter season historically brings a decline in donations. This month, six blood drives are scheduled in the county.
